Heyy Family...

I'm Shantelle, Im a doula, birth worker, spiritualist, apprentice traditional midwife. I wear many hats but my favorite is wife and mother. Catering to families, supporting pregnancies , assisting with births, and helping women with feeding their babies became my passion once I started to have my own children. Now I understand why as a child I secretly admired pregnant bellies and could sit hours on end watching "A Baby Story". During my first birth in 2010, I experienced the full works! I had medical interventions and didn’t have control over my decisions or have support to make knowledgeable choices that wasn’t coerced. My 6 other births I've experienced the complete opposite, being in a beautiful birth center, to planned homebirth transfer to hospital while in transition, and then to the most empowering free pregnancy and unassisted/free birth. Which has prepared me to be well rounded, and ready for my calling. I’m truly grateful for what those experiences has brought me and how it pushes me further into my purpose of being a birth worker. My mission is to support families with the best decision making towards their family, birth and feeding preferences. While giving them traditional research so they can weigh the effects of new evidence based research to aide them in planning their care. Since 2013 I’ve supported families throughout hospitals, homes, and birth centers and I’m truly honored every time that I'm chosen to serve!
